A Little Arvada Partying

Now and then we find weekend festivals, or fun happening in Olde Town - so here are a couple of outings in Arvada.
Going out for Mexican is always fun - but this was the smallest Margarita Cheryl had ever had - a tasty mini.

So next time we won't get the 'house special' but it was tasty.

Another of our favorite places in Olde Town is the local park where Blanche and Lucy love to watch the squirrels.

This particular Sat, the park was having a concert.

Tyler was with us for this outing and enjoyed the music.
The Band played old-time 60's tunes - memories.....

The park really fills up for these free concerts.

Thursday night is Ladies Night in Olde Town so last week we decided to venture out to see how that works.  First stop was the Arvada Tavern which just recently re-opened after a renovation.
Here we are waiting for our dinner.

We had salads and tasty beverages... mine was a Blue Cheese Wedge -with home made blue cheese dressing - best I've tasted.  Cheryl had the healthy Spinach Salad with warm home made dressing.  The drinks were called the St. Germaine Shandy (a shandy is made with a beer - in this case a local Kolsch - a citrus - a lemon here and a Liquor - and this one is St Germaine Elderberry Liquor.... so good and refreshing).

There were a few men that we saw here and there during Ladies' Night on the town - but mostly it was the gals who took over the town.... very fun.

After the salad we headed up to Udi's another wonderful eatery that makes brick oven Pizza - soooooo Of course....

These tasty beverages were called a "Rosey Cocktail"  similar to a cosmo - but made with Pomegranate Juice and a sugar rim... very yum.

And the Margherite Thin Crust Pizza was the best we've had for awhile.
