A Wild Women Party in the Pines

Our very good friend Jakota hosted a wonderful party for all the fun wild women both staying here in the White Mountain area for the summer and those of us visiting for a little bit.
Jakota has a wonderful lovely home here among the pines with a great front and back porch as well as a nice big back yard.
She worked very hard to landscape her yard in a beautiful way.

Jakota's dog Lucy was a wonderful hostess for Blanche and Lucy.
Within minutes of arrival Blanche found her favorite Auntie Co's lap.

Evie & Dana enjoyed the multitude of great dishes that everyone brought.
The 'Kitchen Witches' were busy cleaning up and helping assemble the food for all to enjoy.
Ta-daaaa - ok Molly and Cheryl - great job!

Enjoy all the lovely guests who attended and had a blast here ......

Great fun - great conversation - great food had by all....thanks Jakota!!!

  1. WOW!!! I want to live in that cute little house among the pines!!! It certainly looks like the ladies are having a blast!!! Blanche & Lucy look right at home.
I also enjoyed seeing the Pow-Wow photos! What fun!

I needed something like this to raise the spirits. I just heard from Lily's Vet. and it doesn't sound too good!
The vet just called me to let us know the results of the growth that was sent to the lab. It was scar tissue that grew in an onion-like form that has many layers filled with a VERY RARE & VERY BAD Bacteria between the layers, that he hasn't seen in more than 20 years! All caused by the metal & nylon (which was also surrounded by an infectious fluid). He cleaned & removed all the metal & nylon and of course removed the "onion-like" lump. I asked about the torn ligament and he said that had been removed in the first surgery. He's putting her on a new special antibiotic. We have to take precautions when handling Lily and wash our hands. He said the "knee cap" wasn't loose anymore.
The antibiotic may cause nausea and we're to let him know if that happens. He said it was a new antibiotic that will kill this bad rare bacteria. Lily is to see him in a couple of weeks to remove stitches.
Now, since this is so rare, he's having trouble finding a pharmacy that carries the antibiotic in the correct dosage. He's searching other pharmacies.... and will call us tomorrow . Poor dear Lily!!
