Blanche & Lucy's New House

As most of you know by now - Blanche & Lucy bought a new place in Arvada, Colorado.  Arvada is located near the foothills of the Rockies and just 10miles west of downtown Denver.  Here is our little 'Tomatoe' parked outside of our condo.  There are only 5 units on the front and 5 on the back of each building - not overly populated.

 Our condo is the bottom corner unit to the right - bright with lots of windows - yet coolest because the sun never comes into the house at all except for sunrise for a short time.  So bright and cool is a great thing.  The grounds are well landscaped and properly maintained (no work for us). 

The buildings are built around this pond - this is one of our sunrises.

Another Sunrise morning.  There are only about 10 buildings so it is a nice small complex with mostly adults and a few dogs.  There are very little in the way of amenities, so the HOA fees are low.  And because there is no pool or rec center there are very few families.  A quiet space to live.

Mid-day at the pond - with a path around the pond - it's a great place for Blanche & Lucy to walk.

Beautiful sunsets make the evening walks very pleasant.  Blanche & Lucy watch the ducks, geese and cranes on the water during their walks.

Right across the street is another pond with a great path to walk around as well. Lots of folks come here to fish and picnic and relax.

And there is plenty of shade at this park for the girls to rest if it's hot.  And best of all - Blanche & Lucy have found lots of squirrels to chase at this park.

As you have seen before - our little 'veranda' is a great place for morning coffee, or evening 'Yappy' Hour.  And where we are growing basil and mint.

Blanche & Lucy invite you into the house for a tour.....

You will first walk into our living room with 2 bright windows.

The living room looks into the kitchen and has a small breakfast bar.

To the left of the kitchen is our 'dining' area with cherry cabinets and black appliances.  Lots of storage space and even a big pantry closet.

Blanche & Lucy are resting on their dog beds - where the spare room bed will be soon - for now this is an office.

The long hallway goes to the laundry room, bedrooms and bathrooms.

The spare bathroom is decorated with seashells and ocean memories..

The master bath is large and decorated in rainbow colors brought back from Mexico.

The Master Bedroom suite has a private bath, walk in closet and storage closet. The room is airy and bright.

The back yard has nice shade all afternoon and beautiful healthy grass for Blanche & Lucy to roll around in..... they hope you enjoyed your tour of their new home.  Come visit us soon when you are in the neighborhood.
