When Tyler visited last week we decided to take a hike with Blanche and Lucy. We took the Ralston Creek Trail that starts not too far from our house. |
The trail winds through various neighborhoods for several miles along the Ralston Creek. (you can see the trail to the left of the creek here) |
Since we spend the winters in AZ where grass is very rare - Blanche and Lucy take every opportunity to roll around in the cool grass along the hike. |
For some of the walk, now & then, the girls rode in the carriage because Blanche is beginning to have hip issues - and Lucy just loves the ride. |
Tyler used my little compact camera to shoot along the hike and took photos of flowers and the creek. |
She's becoming a great little shooter if I do say so myself. |
There were about 10 playgrounds/parks along the route of this trail for several miles. So our goal was to stop at 5 of them to rest along the route. |
This playground had 'moving' walkways that Tyler loved. |
This playground as well as the above 2 & following 2 were the 5 we found along our route. |
Tyler discovered that each playground was just a little bit different from the others - enough to make it interesting to her. |
This playground had lots of climbing objects. |
The last park were we ended up was at the APEX center in the previous post and that made about 5miles of hiking for Tyler, Blanche, Lucy & I.
After that great hike we came home to a healthy lunch & nap. |
