Blanche & Lucy love riding with the top down - so one day we decided to drive from the little house in Waterboro to the coast of Maine. |
We drove to the Kitery Outlets to do a little shopping at our favorite outlet stores. |
Cole Haan has the best shoes. |
And a girl can never have too many moisturizers. |
I found a cute madras searsucker blouse at Eddie Bauer. |
J.Jill's clothes are usually too expensive for me - but at the outlet we found great affordable shorts. |
And as far as Cheryl is concerned - you can never have too much chocolate. |
Lindt Swiss chocolate is the smoothest chocolate - I like the dark chocolate the best. |
All that shopping made us very hungry. |
So we drove up to York, Maine and stopped at the 3 Buoys Seafood Shanty - because you can never have too much seafood. |
We loved the painting all over the outside of the building. |
Colorful, whimsical, and fun. |
Blanche & Lucy rested by the Lobster Buoys while we ate. |
We both had scrumptious 8" lobster rolls - Cheryl had regular fries.. |
After lunch we drove along the coast of York till we reached Nubble Light - the most photographed lighthouse on the east coast. |
Blanche & Lucy loved the sea air blowing in their white fur.... |
Nubble Light is a great place to relax and meditate.... this was always one of my favorite places to visit. |
As we continued to drive north up the coast we came to 'Short Sands Beach' at York. We watched swimmers and surfers from a great new park. |
Watching waves crashing on the rocks is something we could watch all day. |
Blanche and Lucy enjoyed the park - because the grass and shade from the trees was cooler and more comfortable than the sand and sun on the beach. |
We ended our time at York Beach with a coastal walk along the rocky coast as it took us in front of a few beautiful mansions. |
